-centric is used to refer to works centered on the named character. Freeform/additional tags of the form "[character name]-centric" became popular on AO3 in response to the background tagging problem.

- ^ As of 28 March 2025, there are about 9400 works in the tag, and only 465 fics contain the word "reader"
