This is the more subtle coverart version of the CG. For the big bold "Draco Dormiens" title version, join the C&R ML and click [/files/ARTWORK/rose-color2.jpg].
Hmm. The CG itself didn't take too long. The rose was done rather quickly, and I thought it turned out decently enough. It's supposed to be the same rose that Draco created for Hermione in ch 11, but too late I realized that rose was thorny and prickly, while this one isn't. ^^;; I didn't correct it for two reasons. A) I can't draw thorns. I was reffing the rose off of vol 5 of KareKano (;D), and that rose didn't have any thorns. And B) it wouldn't quite look as right if it was this bulky scrabbly rose with all the soft swirls and whatnot.
Now that I think about it, it might not be Draco on the cover. Die-hard Harry fans can say it's really him. Though scarboy can't make gorgeous black roses, he can only make bird screeches and a few lumpy baby owls. Well, he's also good at making things explode. But that doesn't come til later.
