Description:	Fanart of Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks back-to-back, each sporting a number of LGBT symbols: Remus has a pink triangle on his t-shirt and a rainbow flag belt buckle, and Tonks has a labrys tattoo on her upper arm. This is one example of the backlash against Remus/Tonks becoming canon by fans who interpreted the characters as gay. Artist's comments: And it begins...the slew of book 6 inspired Harry Potter fanart. BOOK 6 SPOILERS FOLLOW!!!!!!!!! Anyway, after reading about the, erm, situation between Tonks and Lupin, my initial response was complete and utter fury. I mean, EW!!! I've actually gotten over it and actually wrote a fanfiction to make it all make sense, which can be found here - [link] Or there's my other theory - that they're both under the Imperius curse by a strange association of homophobic wizards intent on destroying the gay. All that aside, this was my reaction to try and make it better. I think Lupin looks the most like what I pisture him like here than in any other piece I have drawn him in. And Tonks is always fun. Yay gay!!!
