Upon Karlach being recruited, Shadowheart has dialogue "I like her. She looks like she could throw me over her shoulder and carry me to safety, should the need arise."
In the animated short The Final Patch, a modern AU Shadowheart and Karlach are seen living together, and Karlach hugs Shadowheart while she plays video games.
