The ship is between Hajime Hinata, Nagito Komaeda and Chiaki Nanami, all prominent characters. It has been shipped since Goodbye Despair was released in 2012.

The three characters are commonly thought of as a trio, both in canon and by fans. In Japanese, their combi name is トライアルポイントゲッターズ (Trial Point Getters,) reflecting on how they all collect "points' during the class trials, more so than anyone else.
