Ethan/Lyra/Silver, known mostly as SamisenShipping, is a rare polyamorous ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Ethan (Hibiki), Lyra (Kotone) and Silver (Silver), both playable characters and the rival to the player characters in Pokémon Heart Gold and Soul Silver respectively.

JohtoShipping, which pairs Gold, Silver and Crystal, is its cross-canon counterpart in the Pokémon Special manga.^{[Notes 1]}

"JohtoShipping" was coined first, by invisible-chan on 09 August 2008 on Serebii.net.^[1] "SamisenShipping" was coined years later, sometime between 07 February^{[Notes 2]} and 30 December 2010.^[2] It likely refers to the samisen, a three string instrument, so each character represents a string.
