Prolific' and 'humorous'. Those are the two words that come to mind when I think of A.T. Bush. She does get carried away with exclamation marks at times, and I feel that a lot of her plots are absolutely silly, but her Kirk and Spock usually have such a wonderful sense of innocence, and love each other so darn much, that I have greatly enjoyed many of her stories. With all the silliness aside, I feel that "Immortalized" (OUT OF BOUNDS AGAIN) is one of the most erotic stories ever done, and her rare serious story, "Diabolical", was my favorite from the zine IMPACT.[1]
I should probably mention A.T. Bush, as she has a story in this zine, “Unerring Capacity,” but also because of her many stories written through the years. (A.T. Bush has a story in Legacy, and the earliest mention of her name I can find in the database is 1981; she has stories in the classic zines Cheap Thrills 1 & 2 as well as Out of Bounds. Now, that’s what I call a long writing career!) I once tried to come up with all the pen names used by this talented writer, and there were a bunch. “Unerring Capacity” uses Spock’s testing of the brig in the new Enterprise (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier) as the center of a light-hearted storyline; she also has been known to write steaming sex scenes and appropriately-appalling Mirror stories.[2]
