Opinion on generative AI in Chinese-Speaking Fandom

Studies and surveys show that Chinese citizens are generally optimistic regarding AI. A 2022 IPSOS survey found that Chinese citizens generally felt positively about AI products and services.[1]

Supporters of generative AI claim that it is a "necessary sacrifice" to train generative AI with creative works without creators' permission. Some supporters take pleasure from watching creators' inability to prevent their creative works from being exploited by generative AI, and harass creators with AI generated contents trained with their creative works.
