Canon
In Rusty Lake Roots, Albert creates Rose in the alchemy laboratory with the ovarian egg of Ida Vanderboom and his sperm. He's implied to be the sole caretaker of her and her half-brother/cousin Leonard.
In The Past Within, the elderly Rose resurrects Albert using the instructions he wrote to her and the time travel device he built.
