Original Slash
Pages about original slash fiction and original slash zines use the fanwork and zines templates so the category "Fanworks" is automatically added. :( --Doro 19:14, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
more subcategories?
Would it be useful to have a category for forums where people post fic? Originally, the scope said to include forums where fic was posted here, but I don't think we've been doing this consistently, and if we did, I think we'd get so many lj comms in here that we couldn't find anything else. Also, like the archive situation, most challenges described on Fanlore are fic-oriented, so it's not terribly useful to cross-list the articles. Do we have enough articles to make the categories more fine-grained? Like:
- Category:Fiction Challenges under Category:Fiction Writing and Category:Challenges
- Category:Art Challenges under Category:Visual Art and Category:Challenges

subcategories to simplify and add
Currently there are seven specific zine categories under this category--I think it would be simpler just to have "Zines" as the subcategory, even if not every zine contains fiction. Otherwise, the pairing-type zine subcategories should probably be removed.
There are some specific fanfiction challenges (exchanges, big bangs, etc.) listed in this category, but I think most challenges that allow fanfic are not listed here, and if they were all added, they'd overwhelm this category. Instead, I'd like to create Category:Fanfiction Challenges (Fanlore already has Category:Fanart Challenges).--aethel (talk) 16:43, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
