Claire Gabriel was a fan writer best known for Ni Var (Star Trek: TOS story by Claire Gabriel), which was published in Star Trek: The New Voyages.
Gabriel also wrote Star Trek: Voyager and La Femme Nikita fanfiction.
Like many of the authors, her published story "Ni Var" had been heavily edited when it professionally published in Star Trek: The New Voyages. She felt that the original, earlier version which had been published in a fanzine was more faithful to the characters.[1]
Claire Gabriel passed away in May 2024.
By fall 2024, Gabriel's son, Paul Gadzikowski added almost all of Gabriel's fanfiction to her AO3 account.
