-Shipping Name Origin
The first name coined for them was We'llRuleTogetherShipping, sometime between 24 December 2013[Notes 1] and 27 January 2014[Notes 2] for the Neverending Romance ship name list. This name isn't used by shippers, however, with FrenchFlag coined to replace it either in 2013 or 2014.[1] It's a play on how the characters' main colors, red (Lysandre), white (Diantha) and blue (Sycamore), are the same as seen on the flag of France.
