Green is a Pokémon trainer appearing in Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Let's Go! Eevee (LGPE). She is the cross-canon counterpart of Leaf, from Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, and Green (called "Blue" in Japanese), a character from Pokémon Adventures.

Canon Overview

Green displays an ebullient demeanor and appears to be adventurous and determined. The protagonist (Chase/Elaine) meets her in Cerulean Cave, after catching the legendary Pokémon Mewtwo there. As explained prior by the protagonist's rival, Trace, Green was looking for Mewtwo as well. Upon meeting the protagonist, she tosses a Poké Ball at them claiming to having mistaken them as a Pokémon. After learning that Chase/Elaine has already caught Mewtwo, she initiates battle forthwith. Her team includes a Clefable and a Blastoise, likely in reference to her equivalent's team in Pokémon Adventures. Following her defeat, she seems momentarily displeased, before smiling again and offering the protagonist to "become one of her Pokémon," along with Mewtwo. She then proceeds to throw five Poké Balls at the protagonist, asking them to "think about it" before leaving.

Popular Tropes & Fanon

  • Merged Counterparts - in LGPE-centered fanfiction, Green is often referred to as Leaf and/or is considered a future version of Leaf, despite Leaf's personality in Pokémon Masters EX being entirely different. Furthermore, Green is commonly illustrated in artworks wearing Leaf's clothes
  • Name Swap - like Blue and Green (Oak) in Pokémon adventures, Green's name is "Blue (ブルー)" and Blue (Oak)'s name is "Green (グリーン) in the Japanese versions of LGPE.
