Grian/Mumbo Jumbo, popularly known as Grumbo, is the M/M pairing of Grian and Mumbo Jumbo (Mumbo) from Hermitcraft and the Life SMP series. The pairing primarily refers to the relationship between their Minecraft characters as opposed to being RPF, but it can refer to both.
The platonic version of the pairing is commonly known as Waffle Duo.
Canon
Grian and Mumbo first met (in Minecraft) when Grian invited Mumbo to participate in one of his Build Swap videos.
Mumbo was a member of Hermitcraft since season 2, and Grian joined in season 6. They were neighbors every season and spent a lot of time together in the server, with Grian even referring to himself as a clingy girlfriend, and they built their robot son(s) together. In season 8, Mumbo stole Grian's soul and from then on wore Grian's "waffle" hair pattern on his own Minecraft skin.
Mumbo has participated in three Life series and was teamed with Grian in two of them.
Fandom
Grumbo was the most prominent Hermitcraft pairing for a long time, until it was overtaken by Grian/Scar after Third Life.[1] Mumscarian- Grian/Mumbo Jumbo/Scar - also became increasingly popular.
A common trope is Mumbo finding Grian after Grian escaped from the Watchers and helping him recover. In modern AUs, they are often childhood friends.
