Jaheira is an NPC in the Baldur's Gate game series, a romancable companion in Baldur's Gate II and a late game companion in Baldur's Gate III.
Canon
Jaheira is one of the earliest potential companions in BG1, as the first quest following the tutorial is to meet with her and her husband Khalid, trusted friends of the player character's adopted father. Jaheira is part of the 'canonical' party at the start of BG2, where following the death of her husband she becomes a romance option for the player character.
Jaheira is the leader of the Harpers of Baldur's Gate during BG3, where she can join the player character initially as a temporary ally and if she survives, as a controllable companion. Jaheira has adopted five children, who can be met during Act 3.
She also appears in Idle Champions, where she has tan skin, light eyes and red hair. This look was based of the Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Mayhem Boardgame.[1]

Jaheira was a popular character prior to the release of BG3. Of 377 works on AO3 prior to the release of the BG3 early access, Jaheira featured in 65 of them, as the third most tagged character behind the player character and Imoen.[2] Following BG3's release, her relative popularity decreased: she is tagged in only about 5% of fics on the overall fandom after BG3 release.
On the Attic, a BG1&2 specific fanfiction archive, Jaheira/Gorion's Ward was one of the most popular pairings, primarily with a male Charname but with female Charname fics as well. Jaheira/Khalid was one of the other most popular pairings, and a frequent secondary pairing.
On AO3, Jaheira is popular with femslash pairings, with the majority of her pairings with player characters (Tav, The Dark Urge, Gorion's Ward) and Original Characters being femslash. Her most popular ships are, by order of popularity:
