The Ki Trio is a common gen (combi in Japanese) relationship in the Pokémon fandom created primarily by the Japanese side of the fandom. It's for the trio of the main male playable protagonists Brendan, from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, Ethan, from Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal, and Lucas, from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. In the Japanese releases, all three have names which end in -ki, (Yuuki, Hibiki and Kouki respectively,) thus they are the "-ki trio."
