A Littles are Known AU (often referred to in tags as just Littles are Known) or Caregiver/Little AU is an alternate universe used in fanworks where Littles and Caregivers are known categorisations within the universe and commonly acknowledged.
Overview
The world-building within these fanworks often closely resembles the canonical world for the fandom, but the elements of Littles and Caregivers are added to the universe. Characters who are Littles will experience age regression (voluntary or involuntary), while characters who are Caregivers are trusted figures who look after Littles. Both Littles and Caregivers will often gain something positive from the bond between them.
The worlds will have elements supportive of Littles and Caregivers built into them, as the existence of the classifications are both common and normalised. However, characters individually might have negative feelings about being Littles, and this is sometimes explored in fanworks.
