Loki/The Grandmaster, sometimes called Frostmaster, is the non-canon pairing between Loki and The Grandmaster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While both characters do exist in Marvel comics, the fandom and fanworks for the relationship are overwhelmingly focused on the MCU iterations of the characters. The ship developed after the film Thor Ragnarok introduced the Grandmaster.
Because The Grandmaster is a vastly powerful character, the fandom tends to interpret the relationship as either a consensual sugar daddy relationship or as a dubiously consensual or non-consensual relationship.

Lise is a prolific fan writer for the ship, particularly darker interpretations, and has written some of the most popular fics.
Before the release of Avengers: Infinity War, it was fairly common for fans of the Frostmaster pairing to joke about the powerful Grandmaster defeating Thanos as a favor for Loki. For example, this post by tumblr user captainfrisbee has garnered over 13,000 notes (as of July 2020):
"Infinity war is gonna be 5 minutes long because Loki is gonna shed one single tear and the grandmaster is gonna show up in 5.6920 seconds and melt that big purple bitch with his melting stick."[1]
Common Tropes in Fanworks
- Grandthorki: Some fanworks combine the Grandmaster/Loki relationship with the existing Thor/Loki ship to create the Grandthorki threesome. Multiple fanfics exist where the Grandmaster forces Loki and Thor Odinson to have incestuous sex with each other.
- Substance Abuse: In Non-con and Dub-con fics, Loki often consumes drugs or alcohol as a coping mechanism.
- Drugging and Obedience Disk: Dub-con and Non-con fanworks often portray The Grandmaster drugging Loki, often with drugs meant to produce sexual pleasure or reduce inhibitions. In a similar vein, darkfic about the pairing sometimes has Loki wearing the obedience disks used in Thor Ragnarok canon.
