Matt Murdock's first case as a lawyer is defending Karen Page, after she has been framed for murder. When Karen's released on bail, she returns to her home to retrieve the information that can clear her name. She is attacked, but a masked man intervenes to save her life. The masked man releases the information to the press, clearing Karen's name.
After she is saved by the vigilante soon to be known as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, Karen begins working with Matt and Foggy at their small law firm. They begin dating in season 2, but Karen is still unaware that Matt is the Daredevil and Karen has several secrets of her own. The arrival of Elektra Natchios, Matt's ex-girlfriend, only pushes the new couple further apart. Karen realises that Matt is keeping secrets from her. She soon leaves the law firm to begin working as a reporter with The New York Bulletin. At the end of season 2, Matt tells Karen that he is Daredevil.
