Mukuro Ikusaba is a prominent and popular character in the Dangan Ronpa series. She debuted in Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc as a "secret" sixteenth student, having disguised herself as her twin sister Junko Enoshima.

Popular Tropes & Fanon

• Poor Mukuro Ikusaba: as many fans believe she was abused by her sister Enoshima into working together. Mukuro Ikusaba Deserved Better has been said a lot.
• Mukuro Ikusaba Lives: a common fix-it and canon divergence trope where Ikusaba survives the Killing Game. More common than for most other Dangan Ronpa characters who die, as Ikusaba knew more than all the other students about who the Mastermind was and because she was killed directly by Monokuma rather than by another student. Semi-canonically happened in the Danganronpa IF, a light novel written by Ryōgo Narita which is unlockable in Dangan Ronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.
• Trans Mukuro Ikusaba: with male to female Ikusaba being the most common. Popular for transfic.
• Mastermind Mukuro Ikusaba: popular variant of the DR-fandom specific "Mastermind AU" where Ikusaba is the main antagonist of the series instead of Enoshima, or at least they worked together as equals rather than Ikusaba being subservient to her.
• Lesbian Mukuro Ikusaba: her being a lesbian is a popular headcanon, more so than any other sexuality, with Bisexual Mukuro Ikusaba being not far behind.
• Nonbinary Mukuro ‎‎Ikusaba: Ikusaba being nonbinary is a popular headcanon due to her appearance and personality.
