Mysterious Lotus Casebook is a Chinese costume martial arts mystery drama TV show that aired in 2023. It was adapted from the novel "Auspicious Pattern Lotus House" (吉祥纹莲花楼) by Teng Ping.
Plot Synopsis
Ten years ago, Li Xiangyi was the best and brightest of the martial arts world, a prodigious swordsman, and leader of the Sigu Sect. However, he suddenly vanished from the world after a duel on the sea with Di Feisheng, leader of the Jinyuan Alliance, who similarly disappeared.
In the present day, Li Lianhua is a a quack doctor who cannot perform martial arts, aimlessly travelling the world in his ancient Chinese RV. He crosses paths with Fang Duobing, a youth who aspires to become a hero and help people like Li Xiangyi, and they quickly become embroiled in a series of mysteries that reveal Li Lianhua's desire to properly bury his shixiong, Shan Gudao, who happens to be Fang Duobing's uncle. Meanwhile, Di Feisheng has reappeared in the martial world after ten years, and immediately recognizes his rival Li Xiangyi in the Li Lianhua affected by bicha poisoning. Together, all three must work together to solve multiple mysteries that will eventually uncover the greatest mystery of all: the manipulations ongoing behind their fateful duel and Li Lianhua's poisoning.
The identity porn trope abounds for this show, as everyone uses a mask and a different name at least once in this c-drama.

As the drama aired on iqiyi International at the end of summer in 2023,[1] it was eligible to be nominated for Yuletide that year[2] and had 5 works in the collection[3]. It was also eligible in 2024[4] with the collection opening with 12 works.[5]
