From the editorial by Christine Haire and Denise Hamlin:
Greetings Kindred Spirits! Yes, we are crazy and here it is -- the newsletter that thinks it's a 'zine! We just had so much great stuff to share with you that it got out of control. So, we decided to make it a double issue. But, that doesn't mean you won't hear from us at all over the next few months. We will be sending out a mini bonus issue with any current news we get in the meantime and updates on WEEKEND IN SHERWOOD.
[...]
... we will be attending the Michigan Renaissance Festival. We go every year and it is always excellent.... we may be able to meet you up there.
We will also be attending VISIONS '91... In addition to RoS guests Mark, Michael and Nickolas, there will be a Renaissance Festival Group doing sword demonstrations and some neat surprises in store! We'll be selling things and and showing videos so stop by the room and see us!
We would like to extend a special thank you to CAROL BURRELL for running Herne's Con for two years. It was a fun con, a unique experience and it helped keep the fandom going and made the bonds of friendship grow. We hope to combine the family atmosphere of Herne's Con with the 20th century conveniences of a lovely hotel and make everybody happy at WEEKEND IN SHERWOOD.
