The Pink Flamingo Coalition was created in efforts to increase awareness about freedom of speech and expression on-line, primarily in respect to SLASH fiction, and to fight against the ignorance that plauges our society. Too many people out there have preconceived ideas about what SLASH is, and many do not view it as a valid form of Literature. This leads back to society's general fear of the ideas and actions depicted in SLASH fiction, and we understand that a little pink flamingo isn't going to change that.
