On October 27th I wrote the following article that touches on posting policies that Marvel enacts for members of its forums. My point was to show a disparity between what is deemed unacceptable in its forums (i.e.: usage of gay is not allowed) and the acceptance and usage of the same word to denote sexual orientation in content written by Marvel staff throughout the greater part of its website.A day later David Wiltfong, one of the Marvel forum moderators who is known as DragynWulf, contacted me by email to point out there is another side to the matter. He and I agreed it was pertinent to present the other view, and you will find his salient remarks taken from emails with his permission following the original piece.
I'd like to extend my thanks to Mr. Wiltfong for taking time away from his busy duties as a moderator as well as my apologies for not updating this in a more timely manner.
