Reactions and Reviews
1990
I like the description of the gay party. Very realistic. Nice interplay—vocal and non-vocal—between Kirk and the Romulan agent in Kirk's hotel room. [1]
This was my favorite story in the zine. It had plot, some great dialogue and a good dose of jealousy thrown in (something I'm always partial to). I could just envision Spock sitting in the next room watching while Kirk and the Romulan made love. The story held my attention from start to finish. I especially like their "talk" on the observation deck. [2]
1992
Good language, good flow. The intelligence mission is an interesting scenario. The friendship, with underlying currents, is depicted very well. All the details done well, the party, night-club, etc. A number of phrases or bits of dialogue were really gems; capturing Kirk's or Spock's scene back on the ship was deep and powerful, quite perfect. Good satisfying sex. [3]
