Wizards are magic users, often written or interpreted as synonymous with witches. The exact differences depend on the canon, with some, such as Harry Potter, making exclusively a gender distinction, while others, such as Septimus Heap and Discworld, have variations in magic usage or magic systems.

While less common than witches, wizards are sometimes the focus of Magic AUs.
