Thanks to some very famous scenes of him losing fights (like hs death to a Saibaman in the Saiyan saga and him getting attacked by Android 20 in the beginning of the Android saga), Yamcha has a reputation of being someone really weak and/or cowardly, with the pose that he makes when he dies to the Saibaman being a really popular meme even outside of the fandom.
