Gordie & Melony is a common gen (combi in Japanese) relationship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Gordie (Makuwa) and his mother Melony (Melon), both introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield as the Rock-type gym leader and the Ice-type gym leader respectively.

They are the third gym leaders in the series to be inter-generational, with Janine & Koga (daughter & father duo) from Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal being the first and Byron & Roark (father & son duo) from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum being the second. The Striaton Trio, consisting of the triplet gym leaders from Pokémon Black and White, are also worth mentioning.
