Soren, known as Senerio in the original Japanese release, is a character in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and its sequel Radiant Dawn.

Soren serves as the tactician for the Greil Mercenaries in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Known for being blunt and cold to others, he has a soft spot and friend in Ike, and is noted for being the boy always at his side. He starts off cold and indifferent, with a particular hatred for laguz, but is noted to be less stand-offish by the time Radiant Dawn rolls around, and even humours Skrimir's demands in his strategies.
Path of Radiance
In Path of Radiance, he is a pragmatic contrast to Titania's optimism, and argues they should turn Elincia over to Daein. Despite being overruled, he continues as tactician with the mercenaries regardless, as he is close with and loyal to Ike. If Soren is killed in game play, Ike orders him to retreat instead, as he has a substantial speaking and strategic role.
Soren, when he is promoted to sage, has the option of choosing either staves for healing, or knives. While the practical option most would take are the healing staves, given the utility, some have great amusement in giving Soren knives, as he is known for having a low strength stat.
Radiant Dawn
Soren shows up with the other Greil Mercenaries in Book 3 of Radiant Dawn, and is the strategist and tactician for the Laguz Army.
He has only one unique ending: if he and Ike reach A Support, they will go on a journey together.
Soren is notable for having a substantial part of his backstory locked behind a second play through of Radiant Dawn, as his existence is tied up in the reasons for why certain events play out the way they do in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, as well as shedding new light on why Soren is the way he is. It is a popular topic to touch upon in fics that spotlight him, either to elaborate on events prior to canon, or if post-canon, a way of exploring how he would react to such realizations and new information.

Daein AU: Soren is not given to the old lady and instead grows up under his father's thumb in Daein. Usually he'll be a prince, though his father disdains him and treats him as just another tool. Izuka may or may not be performing experiments on him due to his Branded nature.
